OUR WHY
They say it's important to know your 'Why.' We'd like to introduce you to all three of ours! From pole piles to high-performance jumpers, we've had quite the ride watching them grow, and not just out of boots, breeches and saddles! Each year, they become better horsewomen, teammates, riders and humans; and they manage to do it all while being kind, humble and helpful.
MEET TACK UP
Tack Up is a specialty equestrian shop in Oxford, Michigan that opened in 2023, offering new and new-to-you items to our local hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, Western, pleasure, trail riding and fox hunting communities. We opened Tack Up to meet local demand for resale opportunities. Purchasing new-to-you equipment is not only economically savvy, but it also reduces waste, contributing to sustainability.
A few months after opening, we began curating a selection of unique, high-quality brands not yet available in our area. These are products we love, so we have taken the time to personally connect with each brand to determine if our unique shop setting is a “fit”. We can’t compete with the big-box retail tack stores (our shop IS in a barn, after all), and that’s ok with us.
OUR LOCATION
Our retail space is uniquely located within the stables of a private horse farm. Our shoppers love the authentic atmosphere. No visit to the shop is complete without a friendly hello from our resident horses, cats and dog! "Departments" are organized within stalls. With chandeliers. Need we say more?
